The Daily Brief

AI & security, every morning.

One sweep of the wire each morning — a few honest sentences per story, linked to whoever did the real reporting. A daily digest of AI and cybersecurity stories — short summaries linking to the original publishers.

Under the hood

How the brief gets made.

No newsroom was harmed — or, strictly speaking, involved. Here is the whole machine, with the cover off. An overview of how this feed is produced, organised and attributed.

01 / Process

How this is made

Filed every morning by an unattended process — no editorial hours, no embargo gossip, no byline to protect.

  • Every summary links to the original publisher, in a new tab, so this page never loses your place.
  • Entries stay roughly 90 days, then the archive quietly forgets them.
  • Behind it sits one plain JSON file — no cookies, no trackers, nothing calling home.
02 / Taxonomy

Two topic tags, plus the industry hit.

AI Security — AI as the target, the weapon or the incident: model breaches, prompt injection, AI-powered attacks, and the policy arriving late.

Security — “regular” security, the rest of the wire: breaches, CVEs, ransomware, advisories, and the policy that follows them.

Every story also carries Industry pills — the top-level NAICS sector(s) it lands on (retail, healthcare, finance…), or a dim Unspecified when none apply. The dropdown beside the tabs filters by sector.

Anything that is both gets filed under whichever tag was louder that morning.

Stories spanning both topics are filed under their dominant theme.

03 / Attribution

Linked articles

Third-party content: their facts, their typos, their blame. Summary judgement is the only part that's mine.

Summaries are generated automatically. Linked articles belong to, and are the responsibility of, their publishers.

The ↗ on a link means it opens in a new tab — this page keeps your place.
